About

My name is Matt and I love flowers!

My passion for gardening blossomed after joining an urban community garden a few years ago. The process of planting a tiny seed and nurturing it into a beautiful explosion of life and color has always fascinated me. Maybe that’s why it became a common occurrence that my 15-minute trips to water the plants often turned into a three-hour excursion!

It was around that time that I was introduced to the world of flower farming. I guess you could say the seed was planted and I was determined to make my dream grow. In early 2023, my dream sprouted into a reality with the founding of Middle Creek Family Farm in the bucolic countryside of West Michigan.

I’m excited to share my passion for flower farming with all of you and invite you to join me on this journey. I truly believe flowers bring happiness, hope, and peace. We could use a bit more of that these days. Now, let’s get growing!

Why buying local matters

Supporting your local flower farm means supporting your local community!

Freshest Flowers

Locally grown flowers are harvested just a day or two before you get them. That means you get to enjoy your flowers for longer.

Local Economy

Buying local means directly supporting your local economy. We buy local as much as possible, including shopping at local hardware stores and buying inputs from local businesses. That means supporting local jobs!

Better for Earth

At Middle Creek Family Farm, we don't use pesticides or herbicides and strive for a regenerative approach to cultivating the land the flowers it rewards us with.
